Pekela Riley Wins Curlbox “Stylist of the Year”

Las Vegas, Nevada (July 10, 2017) – Pekela Riley, Celebrity Hairstylist and Owner of SalonPK, won “Hairstylist of the Year” at the curlBOX Awards in Las Vegas, an event that recognizes vanguards within the beauty industry during the Cosmoprof Beauty Trade Show.

Over the past year Riley has been a key hairstylist for numerous national hair care brand campaigns and activations including; Loreal Mizani, Revlon Creme of Nature, and curlBOX. Year to date her work has also been featured in numerous popular print and digital magazines including Essence, People, Ebony, Sophisticates Black Hair, Hype Hair, and NaturallyCurly.com.

Riley’s on-set freelance and in-salon demand has grown tremendously, as she continues to “creatively explore the boundary-less canvas of hair slay exploration” – fusing an array of diverse natural hair stylings, texture extensions, and trendsetting cut and color techniques. Riley’s eye-dazzling work is showcased daily to over 100,000 followers via her social media handles  @pekelariley and @salonpk. Riley also provides education courses for hairstylists through her Salon PK “Success Camp,” in addition to owning her own natural hair extension line True and Pure Texture.
